HONOLULU, Dec. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — More than a dozen Pearl Harbor and WWII survivors joined 750 guests, and WWII Triple Ace Fighter Pilot and Congressional Gold Medal recipient Col. Clarence "Bud" Anderson at this year's 9th annual Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor Anniversary Gala, December 5, 6 to 10 p.m. in historic Hangar 79.

Themed, "For Love of Country—Pass It On," the evening "remembered the past, honored the present, and hopefully, inspired the future for our guests while raising funds for the Museum's education and restoration programs," said Executive Director Kenneth DeHoff.
Music, dining, lots of lighted airplanes, and special decor created an atmosphere that took one back in time, turning the Museum's 86,000 sq. ft. WWII Hangar 79—its windows still riddled with bullet holes from the attack on December 7, 1941—into a 1940s ballroom.
With leadership from internationally acclaimed Chef Holly Peterson, Starwood Hotels and Resorts featured the combined culinary expertise of The Royal Hawaiian hotel, Moana Surfrider hotel, and Sheraton Waikiki Hotel to produce a unique dining experience.
Marc and Janice Mondavi, Co-Proprietors of CK Mondavi & Family wines personally unveiled Mondavi's newest Divining Rod selections, donating all wines featured throughout the night. Also joining the evening's festivities were special guests David Hartman, the original Good Morning America host, and acclaimed Barrett Jackson auctioneer Tom "Spanky" Assiter. Spanky's Ford Island Pearl Harbor participation completes his goal of leading an auction in all 50 states.
