She then will lead teachers through how to use the popular Six-Trait Writing framework to ensure success with those text types, as well as offer techniques for guiding students through thorough self-evaluation of their writing.
In addition, Hollas will provide advice on how to structure more time for writing in the classroom, integrate it into teachers' existing curriculum, and give it the attention it deserves. She'll also guide teachers through identifying the traits of good writing, relating it to the CCSS, and modeling it in the classroom. Educators will return to the classroom armed with a toolkit of strategies that are immediately implementable.
