Pre-Kindergarten Teachers Finally Get a Dedicated National Conference

LAS VEGAS and PETERBOROUGH, N.H., June 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Pre-kindergarten has been one the hottest talking points in education, specifically as it pertains to being a precursor to future student success. Finally, teachers of PreK have the opportunity to attend a national conference entirely focused on developing their skillset at the first annual I Teach PreK! National Conference for Pre-Kindergarten Teachers taking place July 18-20, 2016 in Las Vegas. Hundreds of PreK teachers from across the U.S. are expected to attend the high-energy and fun-filled event where they can select from more than 60 topic-specific sessions during the three-day event.

The interactive conference hosted by Staff Development for Educators (SDE) was programmed to cover the hottest topics PreK educators are facing today, including active learning, behavior management, critical thinking, fine and gross motor skills, ADHD and sensory intervention, early literacy and math, music and movement, STEM, and technology. All sessions address the specific demands PreK teachers face in their expectation to develop kindergarten-readiness. An additional prevalent topic is time management and fitting-it-all-in, a challenge many early childhood educators face daily in their busy classrooms.

"Teachers really can 'fit it all in,'" says SDE conference programmer Kymra Kurinskas. "The powerful instructional strategies teachers will gain at I Teach PreK! will help them ensure that all their children are working at their own level and are positioned for ongoing scholastic success. Teachers will flourish as educators as they acquire tips, tricks, and fresh strategies for meeting expectations, creating lessons, and building those foundational skills their students need."

Each session will be presented by early childhood experts and classroom-experienced teachers, including teacher-favorites Kim Adsit, Natalie Daise, Stephen Fite, Kathy Griffin, Kim Hughes, Shannon Samulski, and Donna Whyte.

I Teach PreK! is the largest pre-kindergarten conference of its kind, and was developed and programmed by a team of experts addressing the latest research and developing trends surrounding the needs of pre-kindergarten educators. Attendees' days will consist of multiple breakout sessions, networking events and opportunities, a lively exhibit hall, and "add-on" events, including a Morning Mindfulness kickoff, an educator Meet & Greet, a bonus Sketch Noting session, afternoon storytelling session with Story Pirates, a camaraderie booth, and innovative take-away tips. New and experienced teachers will master both the basics every classroom educator needs and the groundbreaking ideas that lead to true transformation. Attendees may choose from numerous concurrent sessions, in a wide variety of learning formats—including hands-on, make & takes, and video-based see-it-in-action sessions.

The I Teach PreK! conference is one of eight national conferences that SDE hosts each summer, divided between Las Vegas, Chicago, and Orlando.
