Events planned worldwide to give members of different communities across the globe the opportunity to "Experience Coaching" firsthand
LEXINGTON, Ky., May 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Professional coaches around the globe will host events to help members of their community experience coaching during International Coaching Week (ICW), May 19 – 25, 2014.
Originally started in 1999 by International Coach Federation (ICF) Member and Master Certified Coach Jerri N. Udelson, ICW is intended to educate the public about the value of partnering with a professional coach and to acknowledge the results and progress made through the coaching process.

In Peru, ICF Members will participate in a virtual coaching marathon, donating their time and talents to provide pro bono coaching to interested individuals via Skype.
The members of ICF Bulgaria have planned a week of presentations about the benefits of coaching for university students and faculty, managers and human resources professionals, and small- and medium-scale business owners. Members of ICF Bulgaria's board of directors will also appear on morning television news programs throughout the country.
In the United States, the coaches of ICF Philadelphia will host events featuring laser coaching, networking opportunities, and information on how professional coaching can help people bridge gaps in their professional and personal lives. Across the country, in Sacramento, California, ICW offerings will include a pro bono laser coaching event titled "Experience Coaching: Change it Up, Make it Happen," pro bono coaching cafes throughout the city, and the continuation of a month-long "blogathon" spotlighting coaching success stories.
ICF Global has also planned events in recognition of ICW. On May 19, the organization will release findings from the 2014 ICF Global Consumer Awareness Study. On May 21 at 1 p.m. (New York), ICF's Director of Research and Education, Mark Ruth, and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP's Global Research Director, Colin McIleheney, will present key findings from this study during a Human Capital Institute webcast, "Consumers and Coaching: New Findings from ICF Industry Research."
Additionally, during ICW 2014, all proceeds from ICF Store purchases will be donated to the ICF Foundation, which funds training scholarships and pro bono coaching initiatives.
