Prominent Omaha Contractor Expands and Positions for Growth

OMAHA, Neb., Aug. 18, 2011 — The Omaha office of MMC Contractors – one of the top mechanical contractors in the country – is well-positioned for continued growth, announcing today the company's expansion through two acquisitions and a new team member.

Specifically, two local service companies, R&D Cryo Solutions and C&H Mechanical, recently joined MMC Contractors to operate under the organization's national brand. In addition, the organization announces the hire of Ralph Nelson – a prominent leader in the Omaha business community and mechanical construction industry – as a new project executive. These three additions enable the MMC Contractors team to better service clients in Omaha and throughout the north central region of the country

"This is an extremely exciting time for MMC Contractors," says Jacob Vogel, president of the MMC Contractors' Omaha office. "These additions demonstrate our commitment to the Omaha market and position us for expanded opportunities utilizing our new 18,000 SF state-of-the art fabrication shop."

ACQUISITIONS

R&D Cryo Solutions

R&D Cryo Solutions, an Omaha-based ultra low temperature service company, was founded by Dan Stang and Richard Morris in 2004. Since inception, the company has grown into one of the industry's leading ultra low temperature (-100 degree CELSIUS) companies. Adding this to the MMC Contractors portfolio gives the team just one more opportunity to provide needed services to valued partners.

As part of MMC Contractors' commitment to providing the best team for clients' needs, the R&D Cryo technicians and founders will join MMC Contractors to continue servicing ultra low temperature clients

C&H Mechanical

Additionally, C&H Mechanical has joined MMC Contractors. Founders Dan Christensen and Mark Hainline have provided their Omaha-area clients with exceptional HVAC service since 2005.

As part of MMC Contractors, Christensen and Hainline have already helped grow the Service group from five to fifteen technicians. Both founders and their technicians joined MMC Contractors and have continued working with existing and new partners.

"These acquisitions were a win-win for all parties," says Vogel. "Not only does this give us a significant addition to our service department's book of business, but it also permits these companies to offer clients capabilities they didn't have on their own."

Specifically, as part of MMC Contractors, R&D Cryo and C&H Mechanical can offer specialized experience in licensed plumbing service, HVAC piping, process pipe installations, ammonia piping, building energy analysis, and building modeling utilizing AutoCAD.

NEW TEAM MEMBER

Ralph Nelson

MMC Contractors added Ralph Nelson (P.E., LEED AP) — the former president and co-owner of Ray Martin Company of Omaha — to its ranks this month. Nelson brings extensive mechanical construction and facility services experience to MMC Contractors.

A leader in the Omaha community, Nelson has actively participated in prominent organizations such as the City of Omaha ACAD Board, Omaha Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Omaha Plumbing Board. Additionally, Nelson has served as an officer and President for both the Mechanical Contractors Association of Omaha and the Nebraska Chapter ASHRAE.

MMC Contractors welcomes Nelson as a project executive for the company.
