The RVS-114 Wireless Backup Sensor System consists of four sensors which are mounted on the back of the vehicle and an interior LED display. The system is designed and intended for use on large vehicles such as caravans, motorhomes, camping trailers, tractor trailers, buses, and other large personal or commercial vehicles with a trailer or container that limits rear visibility.
The sensors will detect objects behind the vehicle that may be out of sight of the driver such as vehicles, individuals, or other property. As the vehicle moves closer to the object or person, the wireless system will alert the driver with audible sounds and visible warning lights on the interior LED bar. The RVS-114 Wireless Backup Sensor System reduces the possibility of backover accidents which can lead to property damage or loss of life. According to the National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration, an average of 210 backover fatalities are recorded each year with children under five and seniors over 70 accounting for more than 50 percent of the fatalities.
The RVS-114 is surface mounted on the rear of the vehicle and comes with all necessary instructions and hardware for easy installation. There is no need to run cables, this system is wireless.
