A back up camera system can aid drivers as they back up by allowing them to see the blind zone located behind the vehicle, outside of the view provided by mirrors. The rear view cameras from Rear View Safety, Inc. are designed for installation along the top-middle of the back of the vehicle. Drivers can install the system themselves or opt to hire a professional to do so. The typical cost for professional installation is $150 to $200.

A system from Rear View Safety, Inc. uses a 12V/24V power source. It operates at temperatures ranging from -70 degrees to 50 degrees Celsius, and it is waterproof. The camera includes infrared lights so that drivers can also see behind the vehicle at night. Drivers may set the vehicle back up camera to turn on automatically whenever the vehicle's engine is on, or to only turn on when the vehicle is in reverse. The systems are in stock and can be shipped within 24 hours of ordering.

Rear View Safety, Inc. was founded in 2007 with the mission of improving vehicle safety and reducing injuries and loss of lives due to lack of rear view safety technologies in commercial fleets. The company services a variety of commercial fleets, including government vehicles, first responders, recreational vehicles, construction trucks, and mining vehicles.
