The RS2214+/RS2214RP+ offer business users high performance and scalable storage with enterprise storage features at small and medium business price.
The new models are designed with small and medium business users in mind. Both models have modular designs, and can scale up to 24 drives by taking advantage of the RX1214/RX1214RP. That makes for up to 96TB of high-performance storage.

The combination is designed to offer affordable reliability. Quad NICs allow for network redundancy. Multiple RAID options provide flexible drive redundancy. The CPU uses passive cooling, and the cooling fans offer adaptive behavior in the event of a fan failure. By creating an active-passive cluster with Synology High Availability (SHA), productive downtime is reduced to seconds, in the event of node failure. The RS2214RP+ goes even further to maximize uptime by including redundant power supplies.
In addition to the various redundancy options, the RS2214+/RS2214RP+ offer, Synology's award-winning DiskStation Manager (DSM 4.3) provides other welcome additional for business users, such as:
