Rockhopper Adventure Trail Run Returns to Kosrae Island in Micronesia in October

TOFOL, KOSRAE, Federated States of Micronesia, Sept. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Scuba divers and adventure travelers who love to run are signing up for the third annual Rockhopper Adventure Trail Run set for Monday, October 12, 2015 on the Micronesian island of Kosrae. The 5.7-mile run will include on-road and off-road terrain that goes through inspiring scenery. Runners can enjoy some of the world's best scuba diving and eco-adventure trekking before and after the race as well as Kosrae's lush mangrove forests, ancient ruins and local culture. Kosrae is located halfway between Hawaii and Guam and is home to some of the world's most unspoiled coral reefs and blue-water dive sites.

To register for the race click here. The $40 race entry fee includes a commemorative race tee shirt and a prerace banquet; there is also a tee shirt-only $15 registration option. Runners and walkers of all ages are encouraged to participate.

The Rockhopper Trail Run starts and ends at the Pacific Treelodge Resort. The race start time is 7 AM.

Rockhopper Trail Run participants can take advantage of exclusive travel and lodging discounts. Kosrae Village Resort is offering a 20 percent discount off their normal room rates for all race participants and guests. Kosrae's Pacific Treelodge Resort will reimburse $15 'paid' entry fee plus provide free breakfast for each room night. Kosrae Nautilus Resort offers single rooms at $99/night and double rooms at $114/ night and includes airport transfers. Email the hotels directly for the race discounts.
