NEWARK, N.J., March 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Seidler Chemical, a New Jersey-based supplier, distributor, blender, and re-packager of quality chemicals and ingredients, has recently published a white paper that highlights the challenges commonly associated with planning and executing site remediation programs.

The white paper begins by describing the reasons for site remediation activities, the most common remediation processes, and how different processes are selected.  Site remediation methods depend heavily on the type of contaminant, the type of contaminated material, the location of the contaminated site and accessibility to the site, and the scale of contamination.  In some cases remediation can be done on site, while in other cases the contaminated material must be removed and treated off site.

The paper then continues by outlining the major challenges that companies face when planning and executing a site remediation project.  These start with the planning process, in terms of selecting a remediation method and developing a plan that will successfully decontaminate the site. The planning process must meet all local and federal regulations for cleanup.

Finally, the paper discusses the challenges a company must deal with during the execution of the remediation plan, including management of the process, assessing and managing risk, delivery logistics, and working with trusted partners to ensure that the remediation is performed efficiently and effectively. In some cases, remediation processes may be iterative, and an assessment activity must determine the status of the cleanup after each iteration.

"Anyone can sell chemicals for remediation processes, but it is far more efficient for companies with a contamination problem to work with experienced partners that understand the challenges, and deliver the remediation products that are required in the right amounts, in the right containers, to any location" notes Richard Seidler, President of Seidler Chemical.
