50-Day Community-Wide Effort Runs May 15 – July 6 With Outreach, Events & More
FAIRFAX, Va., May 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Sheehy Auto Stores, Inc. has announced plans for the 18th Annual Sheehy 6000 Sales Event, a 50-day community-wide effort to sell cars while raising awareness and funds to benefit the American Heart Association. The event will run from May 15 through July 6.
"Many of our employees, customers and their families have been directly impacted by heart disease," said Vince Sheehy, President of Sheehy Auto Stores. "We are proud to support the American Heart Association through fundraising and events that will help raise awareness and hopefully help save lives in each of the communities we serve."
Last year's Sheehy 5000 campaign raised $150,000 for the charity. Throughout its 17 year history, this fundraising effort has raised more than $1 million for community non-profit organizations.
Each of the Sheehy dealerships throughout Washington, DC; Richmond, VA and Baltimore, MD will lead various initiatives in support of the Sheehy 6000 including premium giveaways including coloring books, pedometers and mints; car shows; blood pressure screenings and CPR training for employees and the community.
