Sheehy Auto Stores Offers Support to Federal Employees During Government Shutdown

FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Sheehy Auto Stores has announced two initiatives in an effort to aid furloughed federal government employees. Each Sheehy dealership will offer a FREE oil change with a current federal government photo ID. In addition, Sheehy will provide a 90-day payment deferral program for all qualified customers affected by the shutdown who are purchasing a new or used vehicle.

"Many of our long-time customers have been affected by the unfortunate government shutdown," said Vince Sheehy, president of Sheehy Auto Stores. "We want to do what we can to show our support and help those in many of the communities we serve who may need assistance at this trying time."

The free oil change offer is limited to one per person. No appointments are necessary. Those needing synthetic, diesel or more than six quarts of oil will be subject to an additional charge.

Sheehy Auto Stores has partnered with a local bank to help offer qualified furloughed government employees a 90-day payment deferral on new or used vehicles.

Both offers require valid federal photo identification and are good through the duration of the federal government shutdown.
