Friedman is Master Chef at Peli Peli, Texas' only South African restaurant concept

The list of past Cadillac Culinary Masters has featured a who's who of Houston Chefs including Robert Del Grande, Hugo Ortega, Charles Clark, Chris Shepherd, and Ryan Hildebrand. Donations from the 2012 Cadillac Culinary Masters Series provided meals for over 30,000 local families.
For the month of September, Chef Paul will feature a 3-course Cadillac Culinary Masters-inspired menu with proceeds benefiting the Houston Food Bank. Peli Peli hopes to contribute substantially to the Houston Food Bank due to its strong customer following and unique food concept.
This has been a productive year for Peli Peli and Chef Paul. On June 8, 2013 at the 9th Annual Wine & Food Week, presented by H-E-B, Chef Paul won the 2013 Waterford Crystal Chef of Chefs competition and took home the coveted Waterford Crystal Trophy against chefs representing 55 of Houston's most popular restaurants and hotels including Uchi, Fleming's, Churrasco's, Brio, Hotel ZaZa and the Woodlands Waterway Marriott. The Chef of Chefs competition was the feature event in the Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting & Chef Showcase presented by Capital One Bank.
Peli Peli is Chef Paul's 58th restaurant and is the only South African restaurant concept in Texas.
