The Story of War of the Two Daniels Unfolds

This two children's war story will be featured at this year's Frankfurt International Book Fair in Frankfurt, Germany, on October 9-13

VALLEY CENTER, Kan., Sept. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — What happens to children during war?  Are they hapless, helpless and inept? They become victims of these tragic circumstances but they turn out to become hopeful survivors in the end.  In this heartrending and compelling read by author Judith Leftoff, readers and war veterans everywhere get to meet Two Daniels who, despite their ages, witness the ugliness of war and did something about it.

Today, all around the world, there are quiet occasions when doers are helpers. Here, you will see the hidden kindnesses that prevailed by human stealth – and war's obvious ugliness.

After the author heard this story several times, she finally shares this to all in this book.  The author introduces two boys, five and fifteen years old, who hail from different countries and come from different cultures, and the story of how they strived to survive their terrifying WWII experiences.

During World War II, an American farm boy, on his 15th birthday, enlisted in the U.S. Army, so he could fight beside his brothers.  Being tall, blond, blue-eyed and able to speak Deutsch, he was trained as a spy.  But, it seems that fate had different intensions set for him.

During this same time, a European boy celebrating his fifth birthday was whisked away.  And the ugliness of war confronted him time after time.

This is one of the many war stories, which showed the same unbelievable ugliness. Many veterans' groups appreciate this book as they had similar experiences, filling their eyes with tears remembering and wondering.

This book is available online and can be purchased at www.amazon.com and www.barnesandnoble.com.
