Down With Student Attrition! Engineerica Systems Releases AccuTrack and AccuSQL 2015

OVIEDO, Fla., Nov. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — What began as a simple way to track which students used a tutoring lab has now blossomed into a full-fledged fight against rising tuition and attrition rates. For the last 15 years, the team at Engineerica Systems, Inc. has been developing software focused on enhancing students' experience in higher education. The result is a mature system designed to assist institutions with the daunting task of assessing the effectiveness of their many retention programs and student resources.

On November 21, 2014, Engineerica Systems, Inc. will release the latest version of AccuTrack and AccuSQL – a comprehensive software solution for managing and assessing student resource programs, centers, and departments in higher educational institutions.

As institutions of higher education began to realize the importance of campus resources to student success, tracking the use of these resources became paramount. Specialized systems such as AccuTrack/AccuSQL can manage and track services across campuses. The gathered information is essential for making data driven decisions in regards to student success.

To further enhance the utility of its systems, Engineerica teamed their programmers with a higher education expert.  This gave the development team further insight into higher education's plight in rising student attrition and rising tuition.

The developers focused on features and tools that can be used across the entire institution while weaving individual student plans into the program to assist with retention and success. The goal of this feature is to empower students with the specific information they need to ensure their success, while offering a vehicle for staff to communicate the needed information. The system will help link all of the institution's resources, departments, and staff in a way that enables students to seamlessly progress through their success plan.

"The Student Success Plan is much more effective than early alert and similar academic intervention initiatives," says Engineerica's Implementation Manager, Laura Alvarez.  "Plans for students can be created by any faculty or staff member and can then be tracked by the student who is given all of the information needed to carry out the plan. Since action items in the plan can be added and completed by any user, no one program or department has to oversee the plan."

Engineerica also focused their efforts on further developing their already highly effective tools for managing student traffic. They believe that by designing software that eases the mundane burden of daily record keeping and management, the faculty and staff will be free to give students personalized attention at their institution. Personalized attention is seen as the key to the success of a student even when the student is considered at risk.

Engineerica is hopeful that with their 2015 version of AccuTrack and AccuSQL, they will be putting the power needed to fight student attrition and rising tuition costs into the hands of educational leaders everywhere.
