She will share insight from her decades as an early childhood educator, author, and speaker to Inject new life into teaching and learning with active, challenges experiences that connect the latest brain research and nurture essential skills. The seminar also addresses how to cope with and exceed teaching expectations as educators meaningfully and engagingly teach the standards in the classroom. Filled with songs, games, and hands-on activities to guide learning, Dr. Jean coaches teachers through strategies to keep lessons fun while accomplishing learning goals, and masterfully demonstrates how to make true connections between what they know works for their students and what the standards require.

"Think of me as that teacher next door who always has an idea for you and a pat on the back," says Dr. Jean. "I'll help you remember why you became a teacher, and I hope you'll feel inspired to continue your journey!"

Focusing on the natural curiosity and enthusiasm of young children, and fully abreast of the latest educational research and trends, Dr. Jean's games and activities will not only engage young learners, but will also contribute to their cognitive, social, and physical development. Participants will uncover secrets to creative, active, challenging, and hands-on learning experiences to re-energize their instruction with out-of-the-box approaches.

"My proven strategies are timeless and effective, and will give you that motivation you need to put your students' developmental needs first and rekindle your passion for teaching," explains Dr. Jean. "You'll learn dozens of ways to make your language standards come alive, as well as activities for math and science."

According to Dr. Jean, the more senses activated in young learners, the more likely they'll retain information. Her Summer Camp seminar walks educators through ways to bring about a total physical response, such as through signing and moving, to help students remember and keep them engaged using active learning strategies. Partner and small-group ideas to foster cooperation and collaboration, and techniques for encouraging family participation, are also peppered throughout the seminar.
