Sustainability Tips for Direct Marketers Discussed in New White Paper from Quadriga Art

NEW YORK, July 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — The challenges and successes of improving sustainability in the direct marketing industry are examined in a new white paper authored by Quadriga Art.

Consumers are increasingly demanding evidence of green operations with everyone they do business with, including the charities they support. The paper looks at ways organizations are responding by improving their carbon footprint and marketing smarter while generating less waste and using less energy.

"Even with the growing reliance on digital marketing channels, direct mail continues to grow," said Mark Schulhof, Chief Executive Officer of Quadriga Art. "Our industry is increasingly called upon to address ways to recycle, reuse and reduce energy and product, and many organizations are taking a lead role in making fundraising more environmentally conscious."

The paper offers a look at the ways direct marketing organizations are redesigning internal operations and direct mail campaigns to be more environmentally sensitive. Some direct marketing providers have even worked to earn the Chain of Custody certification from the Forest Stewardship Council, considered to have the world's strongest system for guiding forest management toward sustainable outcomes.

The paper offers multiple ways direct marketers can be more conservative, from paper production and end use disposal to corporate recycling and state-of-the-art automation.

The white paper is one of an ongoing series of articles aimed at helping nonprofit organizations improve their direct marketing efforts and successes in 2013.
