With Taglio TSC system administrators and software developers can now implement smart card authentication for most web-enabled Android Applications. Taglio TSC supports multiple smart cards, including the Taglio C2 series cards, as well as cards based on the US Government Personal Identity Verification (PIV, PIV-I and CIV) standard and contact and contactless/NFC cards from other vendors. Contact smart cards can be connected using a supported USB contact smart card reader such as Identive's CLOUD 2910 R. Contactless cards can be connected using the Near Field Communications (NFC) reader built into many Android devices.

Operating systems such as Windows®, Mac OS X® and Linux® have provided integrated smart card and reader support for years.
