Kent has been with taxadvantagegroup for four years serving as NMTC Compliance Manager. In her new position, she oversees the company's financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems in addition to managing compliance services for clients. She has more than 20 years of tax experience, and was formerly a staff accountant at KPMG LLP and a tax manager at Dixon Hughes, PLLC, where she provided tax and financial planning services for individuals, estates and trusts.
Ms. Kent is a Certified Public Accountant with Personal Financial Specialist designation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She has a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University.
As NMTC Program Manager, Cox is responsible for managing taxadvantagegroup NMTC accounts and those of its affiliate fund Greenville New Markets Opportunity (GNMO). Responsibilities include assisting with NMTC Allocation Applications; helping to establish and maintain successful operating and advisory boards for NMTC clients; analyzing loan proposals, reviewing due diligence materials, and preparing associated spreadsheets; preparing financing packages for institutional investors; coordinating project loan closings; and managing external communications.
Prior to joining taxadvantagegroup, Cox worked for The Fieldstone Group, a real estate development firm. There he assisted in site selection and site and market analysis packages for various land sites, and conducted marketing feasibility analyses. He is also a former news and sports reporter for CBS and FOX affiliate television stations in Upstate South Carolina.
Cox has a master's degree in Real Estate Development from Clemson University and a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of South Carolina.
