LOS ANGELES, Jan. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Teen actress and high school student Jordan Van Vranken is hosting her 5th Annual Bowl-A-Thon & Music Festival Sunday, January 18th to raise money to support kids with cancer, specifically the children housed at Memphis' Ronald McDonald House who are being treated at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Jordan is passionate about the mission at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House.  She has been a volunteer for years, has been involved in the annual Radiothon in Memphis since she was a young girl, and has hosted her annual fundraiser in Los Angeles since 2011.

The event, to be held at Corbin Bowl in Tarzana, Calif., January 18th from 7pm-10:30pm, has grown over the years. The Bowl-A-Thon is now more of a festival with bowling, live music and a magician. This year's performers include country singer Kailey Swanson accompanied by artist Niles Thomas, pop singer Laci Kay, rock artist Lauren Dair Owens, and magician Garrett Orness.

It will be a special evening by kids and young adults–for kids and young adults–focused on making this year's "Bash" a special anniversary event.

Touched by cancer when her friend Macy was diagnosed with leukemia in kindergarten, and her mentor, legendary Memphis disc jockey and Ronald McDonald House supporter, John "Bad Dog" McCormack, lost his battle with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia, Jordan held her inaugural event in 2011. Macy, a cancer survivor who was treated at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and stayed at the Ronald McDonald House, is traveling from Memphis as this year's ambassador to join Jordan in hosting the 5th Anniversary "Bash".

A donation of $25 provides an evening of open bowling, musical entertainment, good food, raffle prizes, and the requisite red carpet where media can interview young artists and celebrities who have chosen to support this event and give back.
