TRICAST Leadership Reflects on Notable Achievements of 2014

Challenges of 2014 Lead to Increased Opportunity in 2015 for Pharmacy Benefit Data Analytics Company

MILWAUKEE, Feb. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — "It's been a year of challenges and risk-taking that's paying off," says TRICAST CEO Greg Rucinski. "New business, the launch of a new pharmacy benefits surveillance software package, improved business processes, targeted marketing…we covered a lot of ground in the last year."

TRICAST clients run the gamut from state and local governments to Fortune 500 companies. Customers include public employee health plans, school districts, state employees, labor unions, healthcare coalitions, and health insurance.

"We continue to be the strongest player in the Medicare Part D auditing market, probably more so than ever," notes Chief Business Officer Jack Steinkamp. "More than 20% of the Part D plans in this country are TRICAST clients."

The watershed moment of 2014 was the debut of TRICAST Reveal™, a Web-based pharmacy benefit surveillance and analytics package that TRICAST clients use to create their own comprehensive pharmacy benefit oversight processes.

"We've baked all our knowledge into a product that delivers real-time surveillance and analytics (both retrospective and predictive) for comprehensive pharmacy benefit oversight. There's really nothing else like it in our industry," said Rucinski.

The release of Reveal also marks TRICAST's entry into the software as a service (SaaS) market space. SaaS is a software and licensing delivery model in which the software is licensed on a subscription basis and is centrally hosted.

"We've learned a lot about what's important to the healthcare marketplace in our two decades of consulting and we've built it into Reveal," says Director of Software Development Ken Ullsperger. "Reveal and its supporting real-time data streaming technology puts us in a really unique position.  Nobody else in our market space can provide this sort of oversight. Reveal might be seen as disruptive at first blush, but when clients see how secure and unobtrusive our technology is, those concerns are quickly put to rest."

Steinkamp concludes: "From an investment standpoint Reveal has a great story to tell. The Return on Investment is really impressive when our clients put to work all the great tools that the software provides."
