TRICAST Rolls Out Electronic Pharmacy Benefit Audit Reporting System for Quick and Accurate Implementation

Pioneering Delivery System Automates Inefficient Manual Report Processes

MEMPHIS, Tenn., April 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — TRICAST, Inc. today announced the availability of its electronic audit reporting system at the National Conference of the State and Local Government Benefits Association (SALGBA) in Memphis.

TRICAST has long recognized the need for a pharmacy benefit audit reporting system that can be implemented and delivered quickly and with greater accuracy than traditional paper- and PDF-based reports.

"We've identified a lot of inefficiencies in the way plan design and contract results are delivered," says TRICAST President Greg Rucinski. "We have worked to combine data visualization and user-friendly business rule input into a highly scalable tool. Our system enables us to efficiently combine pharmacy benefit plan designs and contract parameters in a business intelligence model."

Output is designed to arrive more frequently and be easily understood to better align with traditional auditing practices.

"TRICAST is taking a big step toward user-defined audits, something we think many plans and PBMs don't—or can't—do well right now," adds Senior VP Rob Shelley.

The ultimate outcome of this new development is a well-designed user interface to simplify the audit process, as well as provide third-party validation for quality assessment and eventually allow clients to easily conduct their own validation.
