Unraveling the Legend of The Spirit of the Redd Mountain

Author weaves a tale of revenge, redemption, forgiveness, and believing in a cause

ST. LUCIE, Fla., April 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Each person is responsible and accountable for his or her deeds. What would happen if a person breaks the rules but the others just stay silent?  In this story about redemption, acceptance of loss, and moving forward, the exciting storyteller-author Larry Auerbach brings forth a seemingly innocent legend that turns out to be based on something that happened years ago. He invites readers to embrace The Spirit of the Redd Mountain that haunts the denizens of a modern Montana town.

Local legend says that a ghostly red-coated skier, whom they believe was a ski patrolman who died many years ago, protects the people from a red elk they often see in the mountains. An arrogant hunter wants to prove his superiority and comes up the mountains to challenge this elusive red elk. But he will soon find himself face to face with a hard life lesson he should have realized years ago.

This powerful story unravels the dangers that lie within an ego unchecked by empathy or conscience and without any thought or respect for the rights of others. It tells how greed, ego, and poor judgment will cause the ruin of anyone weak enough to give in to the lure of wealth and power without knowing how to control these forces.
