UsefulTools Exceeds Call Centers Expectations After Recent Launch At TechCrunch

MIAMI, Nov. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — UsefulTools, a technology startup based out of Miami, launched a new tech-enabled call center service that provides call centers with a simple way to maximize occupancy through their platform. The company, which targets small businesses and event marketers, decided to launch at TechCrunch because they wanted to show people how they can setup a call center campaign in less than 60 seconds without having prior call center experience. Until recently, these industries proved to be challenging markets for call centers because the business segments have difficulty meeting volume requirements or simply needed a call center solution for a short weekend sales event.

UsefulTools, founded by entrepreneur Adam Boalt, began developing the platform shortly after the sale of his last startup earlier this year; he then selected to pilot the program with LiveOps because he had worked with them previously and attributed his prior success to the fact that it was essential in this day and age to make sure that every call is answered no matter the industry. "LiveOps provided an essential service when my last business became overwhelmed with calls," said Boalt. "I knew that if I could provide a simple way for call centers to make their unoccupied time accessible to small businesses, these businesses could benefit from the same success I encountered. And it's working. We've already generated 300,000 minutes with LiveOps Agent Services helping us grow our business."

Boalt, who is working with over 46 call centers to date, also decided to launch the program with LiveOps because both companies were part of the Twilio partner program.  UsefulTools will be the third successful startup Boalt has created which is powered by the Twilio telephony platform.

"We are excited to work with UsefulTools.  The LiveOps community of 20,000 independent, at home agents has helped enable their call center network to target small businesses," said Sanjay Popli, Senior Vice President of Agent Services at LiveOps. "UsefulTools is a perfect example of how LiveOps can help small businesses reach their next level of success."

UsefulTools was founded in Miami's acclaimed startup workspace, Pipeline Brickell.  The company leveraged the various small businesses within the space as early beta customers while developing the software as a service (SaaS). In just a few months the company went from answering a few hundred calls to hundreds of thousands across 46 call centers.
